CONTEST PERIOD
This Contest starts on July 1st, 2024 and closes on September 30th, 2024 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time (the “Contest Period”). The Contest is sponsored and administered by Angus Reid Forum Inc.
ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are the age of majority in their Province on the date of entry (“Entrants”). Employees, agents and representatives of Angus Reid Forum (and their subsidiaries or affiliates and each of their respective advertising and promotion agencies) are not eligible to win, nor are the parents, siblings and children of any such employee, agent or representative or any person with whom such employee, agent or representative is domiciled.
PRIZES
There are a total of 5 prizes available to be won during the Contest Period, consisting of the following: five (5) prizes of $100 Amazon.ca Gift Cards. The total value of prizes awarded for this contest is $500. The Prizes will be drawn within fifteen (15) business days after the end of the Contest Period (“Draw Date”). Prizes will be awarded to the winner(s) in the form of an electronic gift card in Canadian dollars.
HOW TO ENTER
Entrants will receive one (1) entry into this contest by following the link in the entrant’s email invitation and completing the Angus Reid Forum survey. Participation in the survey is not required to enter the contest. Entrants may enter the Contest by using the alternate means of Contest entry set out below.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY – ALTERNATE MEANS OF CONTEST ENTRY: Entrants may receive one (1) entry to the Contest by legibly printing the Entrant’s primary e-mail address (if applicable), full name, mailing address, city, province, postal code, telephone number, and date of birth on a piece of paper and mailing it to: Angus Reid Forum, 200 - 1360 Frances Street, Vancouver, BC, V5L 1Y9, Canada.
WINNER SELECTION
Prize draws will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, within approximately fifteen (15) business days after the end of the Contest Period. Five (5) entries will be selected in a random draw from among all eligible entries received. Winners will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The odds of an entry winning any Prize will be the same, whether the entry was automatically generated or by alternate means of entry.
In order to be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer an un-aided time-limited mathematical skill-testing question, to be administered by e-mail, and have his/her entry verified by the Angus Reid Forum. Angus Reid Forum reserves the right to require proof of age and jurisdiction of residence prior to awarding any prize.
Selected entrants will be notified via e-mail within 48 hours of the relevant draw and will be required to acknowledge by email, receipt of notification of eligibility for a prize. If no response is obtained within 7 days of notification of the relevant draw, the prize(s) will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner(s) in a random draw selected from the remaining eligible entries. Prize(s) will be delivered by email within 60 days of correctly answering the mathematical skill-testing question and upon receipt of a signed waiver. Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitution, transfer, conversion or assignment of Prizes will be allowed.
CONTEST GENERAL RULES
By entering the Contest, Entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules and the decisions of Angus Reid Forum, which are final.
Angus Reid Forum is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Contest or the operation of the Angus Reid Forum website, as determined by Angus Reid Forum, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. If disqualified for any of the above abuses, Angus Reid Forum reserves the right to terminate the Entrant’s eligibility to participate. In the event any portion of this Contest is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Angus Reid Forum, which in the sole opinion of Angus Reid Forum, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper entry into the contest, Angus Reid Forum reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the Contest and to award Prize(s) to individual(s) selected at random from the pool of Entrants received up to the point of termination. In no event will more Prizes be awarded than those listed in the Contest Rules.
DATA PROTECTION NOTICE
Entrants personal information is protected by the Angus Reid Forum Privacy Policy available at https://www.angusreidforum.com/Privacy. The Contest is subject to the provisions of the provincial Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Notwithstanding the foregoing, entrants acknowledge that Prizes may be fulfilled by third parties and consent to the disclosure of personal information to such third parties for the limited purpose of fulfilling Prizes.

To obtain a copy of a winner list or a copy of the Contest Rules, send your request to: Angus Reid Forum, 200 - 1360 Frances Street, Vancouver, BC, V5L 1Y9, Canada. Requests must be received no later than a month after the Draw Date.
TAX INFORMATION
Liability for any applicable taxes imposed by any government, if any, on any Prize won is the sole responsibility of the winner of such Prize.
DISPUTES
Entrants acknowledge and agree that any disputes arising out of the Contest or these Rules will be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada and must be submitted to the courts located in the City of Vancouver.
PRIZE DISCLAIMER
Angus Reid Forum shall not be responsible or liable to Entrants for any losses, damages or costs incurred as a result of Entrants entering the Contest or use of a Prize won in connection with this Contest. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Angus Reid Forum (and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of both parties, their parent company(ies), affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies), harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
